The Valle de Sensaciones Association has existed for over 15 years and manages the “Valle de Sensaciones” Ecovillage Laboratory as a non-profit experiential space focused on community living, connection with nature, and creative exploration.
Over time, it has become clear that in order to sustain the vitality of the camp, the participation of individuals willing to engage in the medium or long term, take on responsibilities, and provide a consistent human presence is essential. However, the camp does not offer a suitable base for long-term living, and in the nearby village of Yátor, there is virtually no rental housing available.
In light of this, and guided by the same ideals that inspire the camp, we decided to create a privately based community housing project in the village: thus was born the Coliving “Casa de Resonancia”, a living space designed for those seeking a stable base while participating in community life.
This project is privately and independently managed, providing an economic foundation for housing investment while also supporting the functioning of the association’s initiatives.
Functional Differences
At the Ecovillage Laboratory, the association temporarily organizes events, facilitation, and structured experiential spaces, which are exclusively available to members and operate on a non-profit basis.
In contrast, at the Coliving Casa de Resonancia, no organized services are offered. All aspects of daily life and activities (gatherings, mutual support, conflict resolution, rituals, etc.) are co-created by the residents themselves, based on the potential for shared living among a carefully selected group with advanced skills in community living, emotional autonomy, and conscious communication.
Why Separation Is Important
In order for the association to continue operating on a non-commercial and non-profit basis,
and to avoid any legal or fiscal confusion, a clear separation between the two projects is essential:
-
The camp continues to be managed exclusively by the Association, on a non-profit basis.
-
The Coliving project is based on private investment and management.
-
There can be no mixing of bookings or payments between the two.
What This Means for You
Although in daily practice the two projects coexist, collaborate, and enrich each other,
for legal reasons we kindly ask you to keep the following in mind:
-
Participation in the Valle de Sensaciones Laboratory is managed solely through the Association.
-
Accommodation bookings at Casa de Resonancia are handled separately and privately.
-
Payments must also be made separately, directly to each respective entity.
Both projects are united by a shared vision and strong human connection.
But they require a clear and distinct structure in order to grow and be sustainable in the long term.
Thank you for your understanding and for being part of the Resonancia community.
Inviting New Community Initiatives
From the Valle de Sensaciones Association, we actively support individuals or groups who wish to create new community spaces or residential projects in the area, aligned with the spirit, values, and collaborative framework of the Resonancia Community, and in coherence with the Alpujarra Knowmads Land project promoted by local municipalities and the regional association, aimed at attracting digital nomads to regenerate and invigorate the rural environment.
If you dream of starting your own space and becoming part of this expanding network,
we offer support, experience, and backing from the association as part of our foundational goals: revitalizing the rural environment and promoting regenerative initiatives.
