"Valle de Sensaciones" is a non-profit project dedicated to the communal experience of a sensory and creative life in the heart of nature, making use of natural materials and resources. It is organized and managed by the Valle de Sensaciones association.
There is a yearly membership fee of 50€.
Contribution for joining the Ecovillage Lab.
Daily fees: Fees are counted by the day, not by the night. Our primary focus is on offering an experimental field for human exploration during the day rather than accommodations.
- Day visits to Valle de Sensaciones are charged with the daily fee if they exceed 3 hours. Food and activities are shared with all our visitors like among all participants.
- Both arrival and departure days are counted, except when departing with the morning bus or till 10 am.
Monthly cuote: The monthly fee is exclusively for people who maintain a home base in the neighborhood and therefore like to oscillate between their home and our nature paradise environment. If weather conditions or community dynamics are not suitable for them, they can simply return to their local home base.
Aside from some scheduled long-term events, which are creating a held contaigner with its own pricing, we do not offer monthly rates to people without a parallel home base. As a laboratory for social dynamics, we maintain a focus that changes over time, and living so close to nature can present climate challenges. Therefore, we prefer that every participant enters with a premise of flexibility, without establishing a fixed living habit.
If you are living elsewhere or as a nomad want to join on a monthly base, you can rent into the Colving house 'Casa de Resonancia', or we can help you to find an other private rental opportunity.
Food included: The food contribution of 10 € / day is included in the daily fee.
Food not included: When paying the monthly fee one can choose to pay 10 € for each day being present or simply bring food, for example from the own garden. (Some neighbours sometimes bring a box of harvested fruits, or hand made olives, marmelades,... . Thats best)

Not included
Space reservation
The reservation of spaces is not included in the payment, as we do not offer paid nightly accommodations. Although all existing structures are available for use by the group, and we limit the total number of participants to ensure that everyone can enjoy our unique experimental and artistic spaces, we do not charge for overnight stays. If you choose to spend the night in one of the existing spaces, it is at your own responsibility. The present community collectively manages the sharing of these opportunities. There will always be a nice and cosy place for you, and you can alternatively also bring a tent or a caravan.
Gastronomical services
Gastronomic services are not included in the contribution. However, we do provide food supplies, along with produce from our own trees and gardens, all of which can be freely used to prepare delicious meals in our beautiful octagon clay kitchen. Please be aware that this is an experimental natural setting, featuring an earth-cooling system and natural spring water, which you are welcome to enjoy at your own responsibility.
Cleaning services
Cleaning services are not included in the contribution. While our small team of long-term caretakers often puts effort into preparing the place and spaces, especially for new arrivals, this is not a formal paid service. Please be aware that the entire setting of Valle de Sensaciones is deeply embedded in nature, where falling leaves, dust from the natural clay mountains, and spiderwebs quickly add their elemental touch to all environment. Achieving a perfectly clean indoor feeling, as we strive for in our coliving houses, is simply not realistic here. Together as a community, we find the right level of cleanliness in a constant interaction with the elements within this nature sanctuary."
Access to the Coliving houses
Access to the Coliving houses is not included when joining our Ecovillage Laboratory. These houses are at 1000m of distance and exclusively for the members of our Coliving community. Our fiber internet can be accessed from the area in front of the Resonance Hub or while sitting in our friendly local bar. If you are interested to join Resonancia Community and dispose of all its amenities and coworking spaces
please find information here.
Speccial events and sessions
Special events and sessions may be offered within Valle de Sensaciones. While our Full Moon and New Moon events are mostly included in the basic fee, other events may require an additional payment, which will be announced on our website.
How to join
Events
Join events: The primary gateway to experiencing our ecovillage laboratory is through our programmed events. These events may not always include planned activities but serve as a container for co-creation in resonance while many times there is no elevated contribution required. Primarily, our events are designed to offer an opportunity to enter the experience, facilitate introductions, and focus on the group dynamic. If you aim to engage in a group process and connect with Coliving members and our dedicated team, we encourage you to
choose an event for your experience. You may have the opportunity to extend your stay after participating in an initial event.
Friend
Join as a friend:
If you know a member of our Community, you may receive a personal invitation from them. In such a case, they will be responsible for your introduction, integration, and hosting. Your inviter will be your primary point of contact for any wishes, expectations, and needs, rather than our team. Rest assured, you will still participate in the community dynamics within the Ecovillage Laboratory.
Client
Free participation
If you join as free participant we will not seek to frame your experience within a specific context. This option may appeal to those who are highly self-reliant and comfortable living in nature without expectations regarding human dynamics. You might find yourself in a situation where our Coliving community is primarily focused on indoor living within our houses, with no other guests in the Ecovillage Laboratory—leaving you to enjoy the tranquility of our paradise valley on your own. Alternatively, you may become part of spontaneous, intensive community interactions with many people sharing our natural spaces. This is the most unpredictable journey we offer. Please ensure that this is truly what you desire and that you come with the necessary personal fulfillment and self-sufficiency.
Additional conditions
Arrival day: Friday
Arrival days: To combine the introduction process and to preserve the field of trust and ensure smooth group dynamics, arrival days are carefully limited. Typically, arrivals are scheduled for Fridays, often aligning with weekend events. However, in exceptional cases, arrivals may be arranged on other days as well.
Arriving on a Non-Arrival day: If you wish to arrive on a different day, we will carefully assess whether an exception can be made. Please note that an additional fee of 50 € may be applied to cover the extra effort required for coordination, reception, and introduction. This fee will also apply if you delay your agreed-upon arrival.
Minimal stay: 3 days
Minimum stay: To ensure a meaningful connection within the group and to maintain a cohesive atmosphere, a minimum stay of 3 days is required. This typically covers a weekend—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday—but also applies to arrivals at other times. Additionally, we may extend the minimum stay requirement during certain periods to further enhance the group experience.
Membership needed
Membership: 50 € per year The activities of our Ecovillage Laboratory, 'Valle de Sensaciones,' operate under the umbrella of the registered association 'Valle de Sensaciones.' This legal framework provides the most suitable structure for our communal exploration in such an unconventional natural environment. Access to the experimental field and all its facilities is exclusively available to members of our association, in accordance with Decreto 26/2018 de la Junta de Andalucía. If you are not yet a member, you will need to sign the membership form upon arrival.
Deposit
Deposit: To reserve your participation, a non-refundable deposit of 33% is required. While we don't reserve specific private spaces, we do limit the total number of participants and may aim for a gender balance or restrict the number of newcomers, even if capacity hasn't been reached. Therefore, it is recommended to secure your spot with an early deposit. Additionally, as we need to plan for food provisions and other resources, we may not be able to accommodate last-minute sign-ups or unreserved arrivals.
Early Departure
Early Departure: Should you opt to depart from the ecovillage Laboratory prior to the completion of your reservation, we will facilitate a partial refund for you. While the deposit is non-refundable we will refund all additional payments made to the basic fee. In circumstances where your decision to leave is influenced by community dynamics or difficulties with the environment, we may consider providing a full refund as an exception. (Speccial events or sessions might have different refund policy.)
To clarify
Non profit
Non profit: All income from our activities is used to maintain and further develop our experiential, educational, and artistic infrastructure, support ongoing and future artistic projects, conduct additional bio-constructional, eco-technical, and human experiments, rent the land, provide resources and food, replace and add equipment, and cover insurance and administrative services.
Economic paradigms
Economic paradigms: Here you enter a unique setting where seeing economic exchange under the known perspectives of turism or workshops scene can be very missleading. Thats why we present 2 contemplations here which might help to understand and navigate the economics:
Community Rents the Valley: Imagine a scenario where we, as a community, rent the valley from a landlord. As tenants in our realm, we would be responsible for cooking, shopping, cleaning, providing drinking water, firewood and more. We would also take care of the plants and gardens, and manage our activities and communication.
Meanwhile, the landlord would focus on maintaining the infrastructure, major access routes, large trees, and handling the administrative basics for the property.
To create a realistic community experience with minimal services and fees, this is precisely the dynamic we aim to establish. We, including you, step into being the community, while the association takes on the role of the landlord.
Giving and Taking Among Community Members: As life unfolds within our community, various interactions and mutual support naturally occur. Some have a car while others need transport, some need a service while others have the skills, and some share their knowledge—that’s community at its best.
However, these interactions are part of organic community building, not economic transactions with the project. Please do not expect your contribution to be reduced in exchange for services to others. If you seek compensation for your efforts or costs, communicate this directly with the individuals involved, regardless of their role in the project.
Choosing between small budget, moderate or abundance
Choose between small budget, moderate, or abundance: As you observed, our contribution model provides three rates: 'small budget,' 'moderate,' and 'abundant.' Initially, you have the autonomy to select the option that best suits your budget. However, if you do not opt for the 'abundant' choice, we will inquire about your lifestyle through three specific questions in our application form. This allows us to discuss your selection if it appears inconsistent with your lifestyle, ensuring a coherent and transparent contribution process.
La participación está reservada exclusivamente a personas que sean miembros de la asociación y se realiza bajo plena responsabilidad individual, en un entorno conscientemente experimental.
